Art Therapy

Art therapy is a creative process that allows people to express their feelings and emotions in non-verbal ways; ways to express what words cannot. The inherent process of making art leads to self-awareness, emotional well-being and stress reduction. In addition, artistic expression can induce the relaxation response which can promote the development of decision-making, problem solving and positive coping skills. In this class, we will use drawing, painting, sculpting and journaling techniques to explore emotions, engage in self-reflection and to discover the peaceful place within. No prior experience or artistic talent necessary!
