Dr. Tasha Hibbert, Psy.D.
Though Mango Bay Retreat is a new treatment program, Dr. T. Hibbert, Psy.D. has been working in the addictions field since 2005. She has been serving individuals, groups, and families in outpatient and correctional settings. She has worked with both adolescent and adult clients to overcome addiction, mental health and dual diagnosis issues. She holds a clinical doctorate degree in psychology with a Forensic concentration and specialty. She is also a Certified Masters Addiction Professional. Dr. Hibbert has been instrumental in developing many different substance abuse programs around the nation. Her areas of experience include but are not limited to; addiction, self-esteem, spirituality, self-harm behavior, anxiety, depression, trauma, GLBTQ population, de-escalation techniques, grief, and loss. She is also an avid promotor of the empowerment of women. Dr. Hibbert embraces the belief that connecting ones mind, body and spirit can play an integral part in ones road to a full recovery. Her clinical approach is person-centered and humanistic, using evidenced based interventions to work with clients. She believes that providing HOPE to young adults while in treatment, “is the key that is needed for the clients success”. During her spare time, she can be found giving back to students, as she is a professor at a major university and also mentors at the Boys and Girls Club. Dr. Hibbert also enjoys being outdoors with nature, working on her Bonsai’s and other plants in her home garden.
